Very interesting reading !

I am really amazed that Limited primes appear so rarely on the lists.

oh oh oh ... I forgot the Sigma 50-150 f2.8 which is probably at #2 in my list

What are your most used lenses of the past year ?

I've realised this last year that whatever I think of as my main lense(s) - is often wrong ! It really depends on the subject (naturally) and circumstances, but often what I like to do most is not what I get to do most often !

Anyway including work, family, friends, back-up to a pro and for shooting those subjects I like best, these are the five I have used most over the past year :

1. Sigma 10-20
2. Tamron 17-50/2.8
3. Pentax 43 Ltd
4. Tamron 90/2.8 di macro
5. Pentax DA*300

Don't disagree with your gripe one bit (my daughter's a model and she hates it when the shots come out not even looking like her ! ) but Beyonce's thumb is behind her waist (you can see an incy tincy little bit) - normal position for the thumb in that pose methinks. The finger is just terrible work !

What I would really like to see - unless it's here and I'm just missing it - is a participated / subscribed threads (automatically linked once you've made a post in a thread). As I can never remember where I've posted !

And a Q. What is the difference between New Posts and Recent Forum Comments (which covers all forums) ?!

There are Pros that shouldn't be and Amateurs that produce absolutely top quality magazine level pictures. I wouldn't get hung up on the designation Pro or Amateur.

There are also many different categories of photography each having proponents that may not necessarily be able to shine away from their given field (landscape, people, sport, macro, urban, architecture, birds, HDR and so on and so on).

I should follow the advice I'm going to give (but I can't !) pick those subjects that attract you most (and that you get the most enjoyment from shooting) and follow the top Pros / Amateurs that produce the shots you like the most. learn their techniques. look at what equipment they are using (you don't have to buy it but know what lenses and settings they are using to obtain a certain effect), learn fill flash, and then practice, practice, practice !

Many shooters on here and other forums are more than capable of producing top level work.

No replacement but it's back after just 7 days and in perfect working order (I hope - seems that way) !

The shop didn't know what the issue was as Pentax didn't say ... just that it was a simple fix.

These are great bags for anyone needing one. I use mine all the time - takes 2 bodies, DA*300, 50-150 and 2 other lenses + flash (if you know how to pack a suitcase) !
