Another alternative worth mentioning is the vivitar's 28/2.

Thank you both. I guess I'm fortunate to have a good example then It's interesting how even the low cost lens were supremely built back in the days.

Hi there fellow pentax users!
I am quite impressed with all the knowledge some of you have about the K-mount lens, so I decided to post a question here, where all knowledge is gathered . It regards some particular prime lens.
So, I was scavenging the web and flea market for quite a long time for some pentax prime 135mm lens. I had my eye on the SMC M 135/3,5 version but just couldn't get one at a reasonable price. About a month ago I recieved a gift from my father's friend. A Makinon MC 135/2,8 prime manual lens. I was really stunned when testing it. A great bokeh, sharp wide open with beautiful contrast and colour tone. Although this isn't really a pentax made lens I would be really happy if someone would share some information about this lens with me.

I've made some test shots in comparison with DA*50-135/2,8.

I guess that lens coating makes the difference in colour tones as I had the same settings set on my K200D?

Thanks in advance!

Sanyo eneloops are my preffered choice of cells also. I bought one pack about a year ago, and now I got 4 packs of them. They seem to have a good relationship with my K200 I get around 600 shots with a set of 4 (with my grip attached, the number doubles). I use them in my sigma flashgun also, and am using 1 set for almost 2 months now without recharging them...
Other than that, I have good experience with sanyo 2500, but you let them sleep for a week and they are completely empty...

Eneloop, my suggestion.

Not surprised about the winner. I was almost certain about it, when I saw Daniel's entry. Good work!
Thank you for the comments. And thank you Aiki as well!

I was shooting autocross this sunday and I captured some serious sideways movement of a buggy.

I have replaced my kit 18-55 kit from ky K200D with sigma 17-70/2.8-4.5. Couldn't be more happy with it. Very sharp, relatively cheap and above all a good walkaround zoom lens.
