Is a somewhat new journal in the photographic press of Canada which can be found on-line at: http://www.outdoorphotographycanada.com/ while this not the main news.

In the latest quarterly issue SPRING 2009, their is a review of the Pentax D20, with a chance to win one in their SPRING COMPETITION with the Tarmon branded 18-250 mm lens along with some of other prizes. Thus showing in Canada Pentax is starting to show itself again to the public.

people purchase what they think is the BEST and not always the BEST for them. this because I remember going into a camera store to look at glass and everyone first camera they wanted to see was either the CANON or the NIKON but once upon it was NIKON and the sales lady at Henry's in Ancaster said have you though of the following as this makes you needs better which they said is not PROFESSIONAL and said you purchasing their top of the line so this and that is better and a few times even steered them towards PENTAX Point and Shots and DSLR.

but i still remember camera club members laughed in 1985 when I purchased my MINOLTA MAXXUM 7000 as it was auto-focus they said who wants and auto-focus and build in motor drive in a camera, today try finding a camera which does not feature these. but i still remember when showing it off to a friend he told me my next camera would not use film and looked at him quite strangely at the time. yet he was right when i went digital in 2006 with the *ist DL2 with 18-55 / 50-200 mm and other stuff.

I recommend the wired option as the wireless you have be in front the wired you can be any location with 6 inches or 15 cm or so, and on e-bay their are ones longer which i used once in a while on my old MINOLTA MAXXUM 5000 once in a while beyond 15 cm but it was used so it's a shame Pentax doesn't give you an option.

I always keep on UV filters and thus I am glad I had the TIFFEN UV filter and lens hood on my 18-55 mm as statue fell over and top the lens hood off and marked the filter so I needed less to replaced, and think the owner of the gallery was happy as my bill was less than CD$60.xx while the 18-55 mm may in expensive it's not that price in CANADA about 18 months ago.

Thanks it leads to a form, which is not really what I am after.

I realize it's not fast and probably not the sharpest but I would go for the Pentax 18-250 as it would cover everything from somewhat wide to quite a powerful telephoto when remember 250 x 1.5 which is about 375 mm in the old 35 mm days.
