As a Canadian I remember PhotoLife when it was just Photo Digest and Photo Life by itself thus a Canadian journal.

But I also read the UK Photography Monthly.

And from the US Outdoor Photographer, and used Photographic.

In July 2006 my Minolta 5000 the 2nd AF release camera by Minolta died, and looked around as I had extension tubes / 28-70 and 70-210 mm glass TARMON glass to use with my MINOLTA. My first choice was to save up money for the D70S but when I walked into Henry's I saw the SONY flyers and didn't like the look of it, and the D70S was lots of money.

But I saw the Pentax *DSL2 with 18-55 and 50-200 mm glass and also took 52mm filters which my MINOLTA off brand stuff took, I was sold and purchased that day, and also later was informed of the coupon and about a week later when Henry's had a sale I saved another ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS CANADIAN plus tax, and now happy using this KIT and would like to say using PENTAX as made me a better photographer.

Looking forward to my first CHRISTMAS shooting DIGITAL and love the choice in case of emergencies to use the AA batteries.

Thanks to PENTAX I am now a better photographer.

Hope these helps, always go into your local photo store and see if they have any in stock you can try out.

Looks an interesting glass to go with the standard 18-55 mm as allows you not to double up on focal ranges.

Best wishes,

You might try looking for a MINOLTA Dimage film scanner as they USB ports as I have their Dual Scan III and find it quick.

This is because, I moved to the Pentax *DSL2 in the summer I had the orginal Minolta 7000 with many lenses etc which I got as a graduation present back in May 1987, hoping my new SLR with last 1/2 as long.

I have their old kit for SLIDES and love it, and would like them to confirm I would be able to use, and would just need to get the glasses and perhaps a few pairs so I could share it with my friends and family and start to re-take pictures with it.

Hopefully it will come to Canada someday soon and hope HOYA doesn't stop this cute idea.
