Just found this on the pentax site link
Pentax K20D going down $200, price is now $799.95.
Does this mean we can also expect a price drop here in Europe?

Not sure about your country but $800 roughly translates to £570 in the UK.
Considering SRS are doing the same thing for £520 I doubt it.

Well yes but it's quite new this news 26 febuary but I've no idea how the system works.
If the advice price goes down does that also mean that the camera is sold cheaper to the shops if so we should see that back in a lowering of the price right???
But like I said, I've no idea how the system works

I think all the Pentax UK prices actually went up due to the exchange rate

If I can stop myself buying at £439 (when cashback was on) there is no way I am paying £499 even if it is cheap.

Well, if they are introducing lots of new cameras they could well be dropping the price on the K20D everywhere, but it may just be a sign of the times in the US. I see that B&H already have the kit lens combo for that new price.
3 years warranty in the US too.
The cheapest I have seen the body only here is €599 = 537 pounds or $754, so it is for a change cheaper here than in the US.

Not 4 months ago that would have been approx £420.
