I'm happy with my K-7 my son bought me. Even if I wanted a K-5 I couldn't afford it.

Happy New Year

best wishes Larry from a rather warm New Zealand

While the K-7 does not support tethering so you cannot control the camera from the computer, you can connect the K-7 to a laptop, TV or monitor with a HDMI cable and that allows you to see what the camera sees in Live View or on playback. In other words, instead of viewing on the 3 inch screen on the back of the camera you can use a laptop screen, monitor or HD TV.

Thank you Archie for your help

I recently spoke to a chap in a camera shop who told me he connected his Canon to his laptop when shooting macro. He was then able to immediately see the results in fine detail as he shot them.
Is it possible to use my K-7 in the same manner?

I have a couple of screw type lenses that fitted my old Spotmatic. I bought an all metal adapter with a view to attaching the lenses to my K10 or K7.
Does anyone know if using these will harm the electrics?

Very interesting test. I'm going to get my wife to do it as we're always disagreeing when it comes to colour.

I scored 8. Not bad for a 68 year old I reckon

Found this test on another forum.

Found it interesting and fun.

Follow the link and choose your country, then rearrange the tabs in order.

Sounds easy.

I tried it and got 16, then tried it with my screen brightness up... got 0.

The lower the score the better.

My eyes still hurt...

Hi guys,
I've just joined the Pentax forum. My first Pentax was a Spotmatic I bought in the late 1960's. I now have my fifth model, a K-7. By far the best Pentax I've owned. I'm still coming to grips with it. Although its Spring here, the weather has been lousy with snow blocking major highways. I can't wait to get out and use the K-7

regards

Duckie
