I don't think there's one in Pengs Cave but you never know!

If you like using manual focus lenses and get the chance to pick up a K28/2 then don't hesitate.
I've been looking for one for a couple of years. One sold yesterday for £420, too rich for me.

For 300mm without astrotracer then I think 1.5 seconds is about the maximum I would shoot. I shall let you know the with astrotracer times in the New Year.

I might still get holidays. I just might use the GPS too for a little project I'm thinking of.

Very nice skies tonight, I was going to get the crescent Moon with earthshine against the blue sky but it got too dark before I had time to set up the telescope, so instead here's Venus with the DA*300. ISO12800 so very noisy but I wanted to show the wispy clouds too and limit trails. I thought it quite pretty. Roll on astrotracer:

Lovely looking house, have you found something in Brighton that matches up to it?

The nearmost. Just got to get used to sharing a wall again.

I sorted out the light pollution problem here by removing the bulb from the pointlessly installed streetlamp next to our house. And then five times more after it was repaired five times. They eventually got the message and I got a good collection of rather big lightbulbs.
Night skies here are as clear as you like so looking forward to seeing how the astrotracer performs before my return to the dreaded orange glow.

French estate agents.... tee hee hee.

The window will be repaired anyway.

I'm sure France could give anyone a run for it's money. Do you realise which language bureaucracy evolved from?

By all means. I'm going to be fishing out the dead reptiles & amphibians shortly.

I bought mine from B&H photo NY as I had a gift voucher to use up. It's on its way to a friend in the US who can bring it over at Xmas.

It's a combination of the width of the lens and width of the house (22metres), plus a little bit side on always looks a bit better.

I'm trying not to think about the weather, although Brighton is sunnier than most.

The council wouldn't come round so I had to carry out some minor repairs myself:

Roped in some child labour though:

I never got round to the outhouse door. There's a smaller house a pool and a barn too. Quite a project. Shame I can't airlift it to the Cotswolds. Take a tour if you like.
