Nice detail in the Milky Way. The trouble with the tracker is that the stationary foreground will suffer from motion blur. However, a bit of foreground makes all the difference to the shot. So a bit of trickery may be required. The trails at the edges might be easier to deal with at less wide angles.

I'm not sure what the restoration costs would be for this bargain.

Glad it arrived ok and you are happy with the adapter Gary.

I just realised though ... I now have no teleconverter for my DA 100mm WR Macro lens Comment Image
I recommend a Pentax 1.7x Teleconverter. Cabstar has got a nice one he might sell to you.

In France a 10 litre box of wine is for wimps. A 10 litre box of 'poire maison' is for real photographers.

Nice looking colours and background in those shots. I agree, I find that angles from sideways on to head on look better 90% of the time. More difficult to capture, if you cast a shadow on a butterfly it will usually scarper.

I think all sellers should be fully aware of the value of items they are selling (after all, why wouldn't they be?) and all buyers should expect to pay a fair market value. I don't expect to find knock-down bargains here, I do expect to pay a reasonable price for items that I have full confidence in. If I want to take a punt I'll go elsewhere. I would be happy if this weres one area of the forum that was subject to approval by a moderator. I would also be happy to see stricter guidelines under which items are offered for sale, such as a seller must offer insured postage and accept non-gift paypal unless specifically agreed by the buyer.

I'm a little surprised that you would buy all this equipment and then expect only £800 for it. Good luck with the sale.

All very good. Tough call between 2 and 3. 3, just.

The nuthatch is nice but the squirrel is very classy indeed and my pick of the lot.
