I bought a 32Gb card for my KX just recently, do I need to do a firmware update to have the camera see the whole capacity? I must admit I'm a bit hazy on the exact numbers, but I remember thinking that it should store more than it says it will. The release notes for the firmware update only mention SDXC cards, so I don't think it will make any difference. Or would it be generally good to update it? I am in the "if it ain't broke" camp usually with thise things.

Droopsnoot, do I see SweetBriar Hall behind your Car?
Yes, a few years ago now but it hasn't changed much (the hall or the car).

Jason,

If it's still available I'll take it, not sure how to exchange details though as I cannot PM you yet.

Cheers
Mike.

Can't PM you unfortunately as I haven't been on the board long enough, but still interested in this lens.

OK, keep me posted. Definitely interested, what would the shipping be, or is it £40 including delivery (Cheshire)?

So is the Tamron 70-300 still available? Would that compare to the Pentax DA or DAL lens in terms of focus speed? I'm guessing DAL from the price.

Thanks for the detailed response.

To be honest I'm more interested in shooting as a fan of the band, and I wouldn't like to be limited on having to leave after a while, and so on. I was just thinking of a way to try to get better equipment in, leaving aside the old "don't blame the tools" argument. Sometimes I hit on a pretty good image with the old Casio, but in low light it's more luck than judgement, and for every good one there's a lot of poor ones. Although I guess that's the beauty of digital.

The Stranglers audience tends to be little more mature shall we say, so don't really jump around much
You're right, but the momentum of many old fat sweaty blokes is something to behold.

How do you go about getting permission to shoot at these gigs? I have taken photos on my dcc before now, but was wondering about how to take the KX now I have it. I tend to take about 100 shots which culls down into about a dozen decent ones, but still nothing special. And I don't fancy just standing in the front end of a Stranglers crowed with my nice new shiny dslr.

No, not me on the Pru site, though I do use this name on lots of others. I can't say I remember a shop in Congleton, but then I didn't really shop around that much. I used to use Camera Exchange in Crewe, back before it became Jessops, but I was buying this stuff at the closing point of when I was in school, so I recall it took me ages to save up enough to buy my MV-1.
