I too think you've done a great job. The time is a lot but if the subject is important to you it's well worth it.

Been trying to get my head round round the flashgun language. Can anyone tell me what p-ttl means as opposed to plain ttl. My manual for the ist-Ds talks about the AF360FGZ. Would this be the best thing for me to get?

I note that this head doesn't swivel so if you wish to orient the camera to portrait, then the flash won't move to bounce off the ceiling??

There seems to be a Sigma equivalent, Pentax dedicated, that will do this, swivel and tilt... the EF 500 DG Super. Would this be the one for me?

Any comments or advice welcome please. I have a lot to learn.

I only have one on my telly, the yellow connector... seems to be standard colouring. I have a Minolta F300 too and it's the same with that. I've also tried them on two TVs at a friends house.

Should it be as simple as plug in and play??????

I've got my manual in front of me and seem to follow the instructions correctly but I can't get to view my pictures on a TV using the video lead.

Has anyone else had any difficulty with this. Am I missing something???

When I got mine I thought I had a problem. But I decided to give it a fair go and did learn that it underexposed when focusing too closely. Now that I know the camera I have no problem. After a year there are still lots of things that I don't know about it.

How many do their camera inside out??????.

They could call it Pen-sung. When companies merge costs are often cut. But the benefit goes into the share price not to the consumer. So if the consumer has to pay the price they'll have to call it Sam-tax.

Keeping your finger on the button is the only way I know. I've pondered this too. Sre you thinking there should be a focus equivalent of exp lock button? would be handy.

I think that the 2.5 inch rear viewing screen will attract a lot of first timers. The Ds screen is great anyway but this is a big jump which should tempt many new users away from the competition.

That was exciting. It's a brilliant shot. The colouring is so vibrant. Great work!

I tried tubes for the first time yesterday but my main problem was it was so dark to see through the viewfinder to focus.

Have I got it wrong?
