I'd go for the 50-200 if I were you....
I have yet to come up with a circumstance where I'd need a three hundred or more focal length.....(I have at least a couple hundred Weddings under my belt)....I've heard of "Unabtrusive" as being a positive thing, but you don't have to shoot from several blocks away....lol

Well, just as long as it isn't Jessica Fletcher.
That ol' Bitty is bad luck. Everywhere she shows up, somebody get murdered in the first five minutes.
If she ever shows up and knocks on my door, I won't even answer...I'll just shoot through the door and yell:" Can you solve that?!!!"

Thank you.
the image was a candid (she was posing for the onlookers, not nescesarally, me. the image was cropped a little and colorbalanced, thats really about it.
lighting was done with a homemade diffuser (cutoff bottom of a translucent waterbottle, (rubbermaid, perfect fit to 360 fgz) with a tinfoil wrapped business card to direct some light forward.). I blurred the licence plate in pse. Entering was a last minute idea....

What planet were they on when looking at the test results graph?? I've read the "summary" comment three times and it still doesn't make any sense at al
You ever look inside the the little packets that come in your camera box labled "Do Not Eat"?

It is a well known, but little talked about fact that when shipping cameras to reviewers, Canon inserts packets that read "Do Not Snort ;0)"

no one concludes the tests are rigged.
But it has been demonstrated that where the test scores are equall or even better than canon or nikon, the testors "conclusions" often contradict the charts (searhc this forum for links to specific reviews, as this ahas already been posted).
It is clear that the reviewers, and thier editors are biasing thier Conclusions.
Either they are simply stuck in a mindset that is prejudiced or they are catering towards thier advertizers, who spend more money or some combination of both.

on the one hand, people have complained that the pentax imaging processing is producing soft j-pegs....(basic out of box settings, which can also be user changed).
shoot raw, and process properly and the the k10 holds it's own against more expensive, pro class competitors. (with bad glass? not too likely).

Now do a lens test with the camera at default (out of the box soft jpegs)...

put two and two together.....

Are the lenses getting tested fairly?....

personally I prefer the softer jpegs as I'm primarily a people shooter, and beleive me, the the more you sharpen, the less females you'll please.
Females acount for 95% of all purchase decisions for portraits in my market.

right now I'd opt for a yamaha fj1200 swingarm and chain, along with some nos, to wash it down...but that's me....

"award winning" glass sounds good to me. if you cant wait.

after all the best lighting kits in the world are designed to do one thing right....emulate the sun......

I'm sure the pentax glass will be worth the wait....I'm waiting for it.

Are you sure it's the Vicar you got to worry about? What about his Boss?

I have had issues with flash, but other than that, no real tough restrictions.
Best to ask.
