possible that the other computer you used didn't have "permission" to log into unauthorized sites, as a security measure.
Heck you'd like the stuff I'm working on these days using vnc and client software to remote operate one computer (my laptop when it's being used in my robot) from another (my desktop), over a network and internet.

There's no need for heated discussions - it's possible to have different opinions and still be friends.
and between cheers, and toasts....and mushy "I'm Sorry"'s, comes the inevitable argument over who gets to pick up the cheque....followed by fisticuffs....a trip to the drunk tank....then the unavoidable "I'm sorry...I love these guys; your my bestest buddies....let's never fight again" and on and on it goes....

Once upon a time we had a nice forum where the contributors were encouraging, positive and supportive. Over the past year we seem to have had a most unfortunate increase in the use of negativism, disdain, and occasionally, outright abuse. Well I have better things to do with my time.

i'd look for bridges, churches, cemetaries, mountians etc.
a frame filling shot of just the moon, woul be great for compositing, or astronimers and such, but a little dull on its own.
for exposure start with your sunny sixteen rule, then open up 2-4 stops (as if you were shooting in open shade, raw with daylight color balance).
from there bracket as many shots as you can till you get it.
with the 28-300, i'd double expose a 300mm moon shot, with a 28mm landscape, being careful to get the moon positioned properly in the landscape.

some people get so caught up in winning, they forget about money.
reminds me of a joke...stop me if you heard this one:
A blonde at a casino, standing infront of a Coke machine, plugging in coins and stacking up a huge pile of soda cans...
An old gambler walks upto her and asks what she's doing....
"DUH!!!" she says "I'M WINNING!!!!"

either by metering to maintain detail in the highlights, and using reflectors to bring up the shadows, or using difussers/gobos to bring down the highlights....
i'd also prefer a warmer color balance, and a little more brightness from the exposure.
that being said, those are personal preferences, they are good images...

what settings do you use for photoshop color handling?
what are your printer settings?
are you using the right paper settings in the printer set up?
have you tried printing directly off the printer buy sticking the card into the printer and unplugging the computer? (will tell you riht away if your problem is with the print heads or not...this test only works with epson ink and epson paper combos)

1)make a 13x19 print on inkjet watercolor or fine art paper. do not confine yourself to standard shapes!
2)use spray adhesive to glue it to another peice of (ordinary) watercolor or handmade paper. let dry under weight.
3)tear off the edges.
4)use white glue to glue it to another peice of ordinary water color paper. let dry and tear off edges.
5)repeat step four
6)press a 8x10 painters canvas (wood framed) to the center of the peice let it half dry. when half dry brush more white glue around edges of the peice to soften, flip it over and prop up the edges to create a concave bend to it and let dry 24 hrs.
brush or spray clearcoat or modge podge on sculpture to protect it.
you now have a photo that appears to be printed on a 3-d, paper mache' sculpture.
still think printing at home sucks?
