I mean they already bought pentax gear and are simply moving on to something that pentax found not profitable/feasable to make for it's current marketshare....
if pentax wants market share they need to get entry level models into hands of students and teachers. They need retailers to push the products.
They need to lure new buyers away from camcorders.
then and only then, when they've doubled or tripled thier marketshare, start catering to the pro, ff dslr buyers...
I for one got no issues at all with the current line-up and will seriously look at the 645 and lenses, when and if I feel it will add to my profit margins. if it puts out video, I'll buy for sure! and why would that bother me anymore than having to buy a new pro dslr and pro lens from Canikon? if I jump ship, I gotta send the same or more than if Pentax delivers the 645....

so why sit on a great idea when you can share it...
Iphone / Itouch software and hardware...
need a cable with a resister and capacitor that will take sound frequency from the iphones speaker and trip the shutter on the pentax (and there fore canon) d-slrs. also programmed to operate using the iphones mic if needed.
a web based software widget and Iphone program that allows you to operate from a laptop, over the net, or just the iphone...
there is enough talent and skills right here on this forum to make it go if you guys wanna collaborate.
that is all.

Okay Don, will try it out then, the trick must be to be quick then
Prieni, interesting idea will try that out as well.
compose, lock focus and exposure pivot the camera to point lens at your mouth breath, pivot back to original position, look through viewfinder wait for some fog to lift until desired effect, release shutter...
takes a second or two longer than just composing and shooting...

these are not as good as the first ones.
2&4 are ok... but none really show any character, emotion or beauty

first clear up the issue of who's images they are... you said thiers... I retain copyright on all my images.
If they are buying your images then you can set reasonable prices and conditions for end usage.
