This event is always in the second week in September,and it has never rained on the day. In respect to HM the Queen,it was deferred until 23 October.

Dust on the sensor tends to be OOF ,these are in focus like a stuck pixel
I wondered if it is a dead pixel moving around due to lens breathing while refocussing the stack.

With the flash switched off try sliding the it on to the hot shoe several times, it may be an intermittent dirty contact
