But.... it is not right. Images taken with any other are not like this.
But were they taken at f4 like the one above.

Before you go dashing off, can you change the colour space in lightroom.
Export as sRGB?

Just a thought

(For those of us who don't do Facebook)
I don't do face book, but can still see the photos.
Follow the link and click on the X on the small pane.
The pane will return after viewing several images, refresh the page, hit the X again and continue.
A bit of a pain but better than joining FB

After eight hours in the scorching sun on Saturday and taking over 400 images at the Durham Miners’ Gala. I required some recovery time, what better than a bit of pomp.

Sunday morning was a relaxing two hours in Durham Cathedral taking photos of one of my favourite services.

All with a Sony and a Tamron 28 –75 lens

Some of the photos and a short intro can be viewed via the link.

Last Thursday I notice the same problem on a Sony /Tamron combination.

A few quick tests showed it was over F8 when the problem arose.

Further checks showed the problem was there with two out of three bodies (the oldest ones)

So back to the original combo and changed the AF setting from C to S and it was fine.

I can live with single shot AF.

It looks like you have tried most of the above apart from F stops,

It might be worth a try

I would suspect that the strobing of the lights, which our eyes would not notice, is falling foul of the way the sensor is read. Except for global sensors it is usual for the information to be read a line at a time, resulting in an effect called rolling shutter distortion. The light will be on or off at different points in the exposure, so banding may well occur. ISO 25600 is unlikely to help as quality usually drops siginificantly at that level.
Thanks John.
Out of interest the shutter speeds were

You need to use the mechanical shutter for any type of lighting which is not constant.
Most of the time I do, but not during a service when it is so quiet you could hear a pin drop.
If in doubt I do a quick test shot.
Thanks for your response

I was covering the lighting of the Christmas tree in Durham Cathedral
Apparently there was a slight problem with the lights, some of them did not light immediately.
I was told by the other photographer they were flickering for a few seconds.
As I was using the silent shutter on my Sony camera, it looks like that caused banding on four of my images just after switch on.
Most were shot at ISO 25600

What do you think?
