Frugal Full Frame Fisheye Fun? Alliterative bump!

K-mount Samyang 8mm F3.5 fisheye. This is manual focus but has contacts for controlling aperture via camera.

Boxed with pouch and instructions, basically as new. Bought on a whim but prefer my DA 10-17 FE so it has to go. Last pic shows size on a K5 which is not included in this sale

Russian made, full-frame manual lens. 'Proper' K-mount version, not adapted M42.

Not particularly 'fishy' on a crop DSLR and admittedly poor at f2.8, but very good stopped down beyond f5.6. Really shines on a film camera, had a lot of fun with this on my ME Super!

Boxed with instructions and original front/rear caps, case for rear-mounted screw in filters and three of the four filters themselves. The yellow filter is missing, which may affect anyone wanting to use it with b/w film.

Generally in good condition with a few signs of use. One of the lens cap springs is duff so the cap is quite loose (pic 1) Multiple 'pin marks' in the front element coating though I've yet to see it affect a photo (pic 4) Last pic shows lens size on a K5, which of course is not included

Little event last week, not my ususal thing though great fun. Travelled light with K5 with FA50 plus 21/70 Ltd 'pancakes' and had free reign of the venue. Not much in the way of lighting but soldiered on regardless.

Sorry to dig up an old thread but it has been found in a web search and posted elsewhere, so thought I should add a definitive (and happy) conclusion.

After more testing it appears these streaks are, as suggested in the thread, light leaks through the viewfinder. The simple bit of fabric that had worked so well for me using the K10 and kx wasn't cutting it on the K-5.

Since switching to the 'proper' Pentax eyepiece cap I'm happy to report there have been no further problems and my sensor is performing exactly as Pentax intended

The grim spectre of redundancy reared its ugly head last week so I'm downsizing my collection...

First up is a lovely K100D. This is a Pentax refurb the Mrs has been using sparingly over the last few years under my supervision. Recently she bought herself a K-r so this has to go.

Condition is excellent. Shutter count according to PhotoMe is a lowly 9159. Screen protector on from Day 1 and even the underside is unmarked - only sign of wear is a little shine around the thumbwheel and rear grip area which I've tried to show. Pics:

Comes boxed and complete, ready to rock with a brand new 18-55 DAL lens, set of rechargeables, 2GB memory card, remote shutter release and of course original manual and USB/AV cables. I'll endeavour to find a basic AA battery charger to throw in too.

Most of the pics on her photoblog are out-of-camera jpegs from this K100D. Sensor has a couple of dust spots but I'm happy to clean if requested.
