I went out this evening and tried again, I just couldnt get an angle on it other than from above, (see todays macro efforts) I will keep trying though.

I think trying to get a decent shot composition wise will be pot luck.
These guys are so fast, so small and just seem to be on the move all the time. I will persevere though. I might get lucky

My setup is as ever,
K1
Bellows. Around 140mm of extension
Sigma 105mm macro at about 1:1.3 On scale.
Cheap viltrox ringflash and homemade diffuser
Iso 400
F8
Exp 1/200th
Flash on 1/4 power (recycle time around 1/2 - 1 sec depending on batteries, and output. Full power recycle time about 1and 1/2 secs)
All my macros are shot handheld

I certainly wouldn't be bothered by the flare. Doesn't detract from the shot.
