Just done mine and the K-1 seems a lot lighter plus no flies or wasps hanging around.

I don't do video so I won't notice any improvements in that area.

I believe the K3 did not support PLM lenses but the K3ii does hence no update required

K-3 onwards supported PLM lenses, K-3 was updated with firmware 1.30, this is 1.40

Support for PLM lenses was in a previous firmware update - V1.10 for the K3ii and V1.30 for the K3.

This update (V1.40 for the K3) as well as some unspecified general performance/stability improvements, provides:

Changes to V1.40
Optimized performance when attaching new lens HD PENTAX-D FA*50mmF1.4 SDM AW

It would be nice if the K-5 got an update for KAF4 aperture actuation. I'd then get a 55-300 PML!

Unfortunately none of the k-5 series are likely to ever get a suitable update.
K-3 II, K-3 and a K-70 from SRS (having now relegated the K-30 /"K-50" to a backup body), & some Sigma and Pentax lenses (and a lot of old 35mm gear!)

A shame given that many feel that 16 MP is the sweet-spot for APS-C.

K-30/K-50 are in many ways updated versions of the 16 MP K-5 series - albeit in the "consumer " body config - and can use the PLM lenses with the "right" firmware!
