A beautiful, stunning, serene, moody-melancholy, atmospheric set of photographs.

Ah. I just read the blurb - it doesn't play with m42s - and that was what I had in mind.
It will/can be made to be used with M42 lenses.

This is a quote from an article at DPR "If you are the adventerous type; you can also use the Pentax-F 1.7X AF Adapter to make your M42 screwmount lenses autofocus. Just short out the pins (with aluminum foil) on the lensmount side of the 1.7X. Actually you only need to short out one pin; the one just to the left of the six o'clock position as you are looking at the lensmount side of the 1.7X." link

Hope this helps.

Just to point out that the K-1 can be set for APS-C use too, but why would you?
Because it still allows the use of some excellent APS-C glass with a file size almost identical to what the K5 produced and which is generally more than adequate. Full frame lenses too can be used in APS-C mode for that apparent longer reach when needed. And then there is the very useful square mode which in my opinion is excellent for the use of APS-C lenses in full frame mode. The K1 really does cater for both FULL FRAME and APC-C users and allows an upgrade path from APS-C to FULL FRAME without necessarily having to ditch your existing glass or invest straight away in expensive new glass. No other brand comes close!

Just my ten cents worth

Well that went quick thank goodness as I had decided if no one had bought it by this morning then I would do so myself. I bought the 30mm f2.8 they had at £149 which I thought was a very good price especially as it was rated at Ex++ but I didn't wish to shell out any more on my LBA.

I do so hope that someone here took the 20mm though. They do have another Pentax M 20mm which is surprisingly more expensive than the K version was. Oh well!
