I wonder what happened to.....?
Some went to other forums after a couple of mega rows here, some just stop posting, move on, take up other hobbies, have no time, or are just bored with it here, as is often the fate of forums.

People move on in various ways, but many keep in touch via other places and methods. A few have become members of ADAPS or some other club that has meetings, some have moved to other specialist sites, Fuji or Olympus mainly, some have given up photography and some have sadly passed on from this world altogether.
As for the other moderators they are around doing various things and we meet up with Ken (gartmore) from time to time.
Best regards, John
I still have my Q’s but I no longer have a Pentax Dslr as I’ve moved totally over to mirrorless in which I do use a awful lot of Pentax lenses with them as the combination works really well, and I’m sure others do to after listening to other people on other forums, and thus keeping this forum moving in the right direction.
I will now attempt to define the length of a piece of string.....

Fan of DA limited and old manual lenses
I've bought and sold quite a bit.
I've contributed on gear BUT less lately as I'm not interested in heavy K1 and its big expensive heavy fast FA lenses.
I've posted about the K3II replacement recently and frankly won't bother again. I'm clearly in a minority caring that there is no current flagship APS-C camera.
I put a few pics on the gallery, mostly of wildlife while walking the dog.
As to time marching on I've had cataract surgery to both eyes and complications for two years. I've battled on taking photos and am finally getting there after a belated YAG Laser capsulotomy to clear my left eye and a lot of drops and gels for dry eyes. I can for example now read this.
My camera works a lot better than I do. I'd like to think that at least it is good for one more quality Pentax DSLR upgrade. A lightweight 400mm zoom would be nice to improve on the excellent 55 - 300 PLM. I reckon min £3,000 to switch systems. Beyond our budget eh wife?
My next wish will be the 70-200mm f/4 zoom I think.
Best regards, John
I post less than I used to, because I take less photos than i used to, but I am to addicted to give up either photography or this forum for good.
