Didn't it? That's surprising considering how much better it is.

Lot better on the K-r than it was on my K-x but I must admit I rarely use it, especially as I have to put my reading glasses on - no dioptre adjustment there!

Slightly off tack but just posted above a problem I'm having with mine. On my K-r , AF is fine for reasonably close objects (say up to about 25-30m) but after that it is very hit or miss, making a clicking noise and going back and forth either side. This seems to happen in reasonably good light and most subjects. It's unusable for distant birds in flight, helicopters etc. Do you think there is a fault. DAL 55-300 seems much snappier and to be honest I was expecting the opposite.

I use the Sigma for BIF shots among other things and I guess that on those occasions I'd suffer a bit with the DA+TC combo. On the other hand, those kind of shots often benefit from a slight MF correction since you're usually shooting against the sky.[/quote]------------------
I have recently acquired the Sigma 150-500mm (new from SRS) and find AF awful at distance even in good conditions. Works well up to about 30 metres but after that just clicks backwards and forwards either side. Unusable for BIF. It's on a K-r - do you think it's faulty?
