This is a bit of a basic question and I am surprised that I couldn't easily find the answer, but not being a big flash user I'm afraid I don't know.
If my Pentax AF360FGZ flash is used on the hot shoe of another manufacturer's DSLR will it retain all functions such as PTTL or will it lose some?

I have now established it works with everything except the lens I need it most for - the above 100mm DFA WR Macro! I'm going to repost in a new thread to see if anyone can work out the problem which I have now established as mechanical.

It is difficult to say isn't it Alistair. Like you I'm waiting to see. It may be the focusing issues vs the 12 or 14 bit raw maybe. We will be looking for overall IQ and resolution for feather detail etc I expect. One in Camo would be handy as well!

K-m, K-x , K-r, small increments of change for me but each one slightly better for my mainly wildlife photography. I will inevitably get the K-30 or K-5 in the next year but I might have stuck with the K-r if it wasn't for the clearly superior bird shots I have seen with the K-5. (Or maybe it was just the lens .... :wink

Sorry yes, forgot to add the WR. It is in fact working now after doing various things like cleaning the contacts, reseating it a few times etc. Have a feeling it might be intermittent but will have to test further.

Thanks Zak. This version doesn't have an aperture ring actually. I've tried taking it on and off a few times and rubbing the contacts and it might be working intemittently now. As it's working with the other lenses I think it might be some critical thing with the contacts lining up.

I have a Kenko Teleplus 1.5X which autofocuses and auto exposes perfectly with the 18-55 DAL kit lens and the 55-300mm DAL. It autofocuses with the 100mm DFA Macro but remains fully wide for exposures. It works fine without the converter direct on the K-r. There does seem to be an extra small rectangular contact on the DAL lenses but can't believe it's to do with that. Help!
