I have one of these. It really is a super bit of kit. Stick it onto an F x1.7 AF adapter and it's even better.
Offers?? You haven't got much to lose here!

It has arrived, so well packed that only some highly dedicated courier firm would be able to damage it! It is in very good condition and still had the seller's original price label underneath the box (£119). Everything looks perfect and I took it out on a K1

These follow the course of my afternoon walk and start in fair lighting and end with the sun finally disappearing. The ISO was set around 400 at the start and ended at 1600 for the sunset.

I automatically (for me, that is) closed in on these catkins to isolate them from the background.

It can do it but the bokeh leaves a great deal to be desired at 17mm and wide apertures. I will stick to distance and 'wide angle' from here on! The colour rendition is lovely however.

Going to the other extreme and more landscape oriented shots, these footballing lads were a long way off. Shot at 31mm the original is good enough to support a 100% crop that is perfectly presentable.

Reverting to 17mm and f8, this one, across the parkland and to the horizon is perfectly sharp and it did a nice job on the clouds.

I still wasn't ready to give up on 17mm close-ups. This is f2.8 - but you could get better and more easily from a different lens.

The sun was going fast by now with long shadows and a lovely golden glow.

Turning for home and along the Scriabourne brook (it means 'clear brook' - and it is) the sun goes down behind the rows of ancient alder trees that line its course. Incidentally, the Scriabourne empties into the main river through Coventry - the Sherbourne, which means 'sweet brook'. Only now are efforts being made to clear the rubbish and restore its reputation!

These are 17mm and 26mm respectively, both at f8.

Then the brook passes under the motorway which is used as an art gallery by both serious mural painters and the local spray paint brigade. On the far right, the moron who tried to paint a Union Jack added the legend, "ENGLUND" to show off his spelling prowess.

On the whole I am very pleased with this 'sight unseen' purchase. Your comments will be welcomed.

I think this is half the problem. You bought it (them) as a collector's piece(s) whereas most of the viewers here are users.

No idea about the 85 but the 135 is a stunner!

The Takumar 200, Pancolar 50 and Jupiter 21M are all wonderful performers. I have all three of them. (I would like a 21A)!

I really endorse the "more like skiing" comment. I found the same when I finally went out! The Lone walker shows how the paths have been churned into mud (now frozen) and the sheep show their disdain for all of it.... and you did NOT go into the pub??
