That's a fine action shot Peter. The smoke trail gives the impression the train is speeding but I imagine its climbing an incline through the Pennines.

That silhouetted cross is very effective, it really stands out against the Cathedral stone. Its an original view of Durham Cathedral John.

I wouldn't crop anything, the vastness of the sky is part of the appeal of this photo which matches the wide vista of the field.
