In the first picture in the collage it looks a lot more like Gloucester than in the earlier shot of the interior door. The colour of the stonework is similar to 'our' Gloucester Cathedral and it also displays the classic English Gothic style of tower. This is a lovely set of pictures Donna, thanks for sharing. That's gorgeous mono work. It seems to emphasise the vast unspoilt landscapes of this exciting part of Scotland.

I'm running out of things to praise in this excellent series but here goes. I love the close focus of the foreground and the f14 stop down has kept the background reasonably sharp. Its a lovely photo full of atmosphere and image quality. If this was a family holiday I'm sure Mrs S. was fed up with the weather while you were enjoying it immensely. David

Wonderful colour and you've got the composition just right. I like the little splash of green seen through the open door. It may have been modelled on Gloucester Cathedral but its appearance, judging from this small piece of evidence, couldn't be more different due to the different stonework. David

Like all the pictures in this series this just oozes Lakeland and North Pennine atmosphere. Its so typical of farmsteads throughout this region - the hill shrouded in mist, the age-weary white walls, cobbles, old out buildings. And then the icing on the cake, the wee dog. David
