Bracken and Long Grass

In places like the Lake District I'm always on the look out for something different to provide Foreground interest. This shot takes that to the extreme as the main focus of it is the Foreground, with the hills and water playing second fiddle in the distance. It always helps to have a good sky too.

Well seen and taken, David.
I find that when I'm in The Lakes (and elsewhere) where the prime target is the magnificent view I end up taking shots of what is lying beneath the feet and otherwise ignored ! Sometimes it becomes foreground but often I end up making it a close-up !
Best regards
Peter

You are right Nigel, the next Storm was always imminent last week in the Lakes! It rained rather a lot.

I'm running out of things to praise in this excellent series but here goes. I love the close focus of the foreground and the f14 stop down has kept the background reasonably sharp. Its a lovely photo full of atmosphere and image quality.
If this was a family holiday I'm sure Mrs S. was fed up with the weather while you were enjoying it immensely.

Thank you David, I really appreciate your kind words. Regarding Mrs. S., she wasn't there as she works at a school and cannot get time off outside school holidays. I think it's a good job I was on my own!

Another wonderful one! Stormy skies/ atmospheric and so on. And for me, the fern in the foreground tops it of nicely!
