Love these, particularly No.3. If we ever have a competition with action or movement as the subject you've got an entry here.

None of this will infuence my judging so you can chataway and comment as much as you like among yourselves, I'm like a High Court Judge, totally beyond prejudice, and will act only on the evidence before my eyes. The odd £5 note in a plain envelope might persuade me however!

Gartmore thinks I have created a big stick to beat myself with but I'd rather have lots of great entries than a poor turnout. As for Father Ted's torchlight entries, I'd settle for that, or candles or glow worms -whatever you think.

John says IT have to approve it before it's put into the competition box as I wasn't the last winner. It should appear very soon.

I'm not missing and I've posted the subject for next week - contre jour photography, shooting aginst the light.

Hello and welcome Brian,
I'm also from Durham where I'm a member of Durham Photographic Society. Been a member of Pentax user since July.

I like 'colourful little fly' best, the wonderful colour and detail blew me away.

Can't commit to a date that far ahead but I'd certainly be interested in coming along. Sherwood Forest doesn't take that long down the A1 from the North East of England. Have already enjoyed visiting nearby Clumber Park.
Good luck with the project, David.
PS If my wife comes I'll drop her off at Meadowhall in Sheffield. She too likes the shops.

Great modern architecture shots. Some architecture looks better in black and white, other times its colour that wins but with digital photography we can have the best of both worlds. Here the black and white is superb.

I joined in July and have only contributed to the Forum a handful of times. I was a member for several weeks before I discovered the Forum, or the fact that there was a weekly competition. I'm more interested in taking photos and working on them in Photoshop than spending hours blogging. Now however I do dip into the Forum, but not every day. Its a useful source of expert info. As for speculating on whether the last winner of the competition will surface to set and judge the next subject, its a little early, still only Monday. Give it a bit longer before Darkmunk needs start having nightmares.
