The first shot and the last one are absolute corkers Carl. It's good to see you got some decent images despite the 'bad day'.

I found this site tonight and thought there were some lovely photos on the slideshow (music sounds good too). link

The photographer is local to where I live and has shot a lot of the locations I have been to.

Hope you like it, it's not Pentax but it is good photography.

David

Well done Charlotte, your considerable patience and perseverance seems to have done the trick. I hope your camera is as good as new when it comes back.

Best wishes

What do you expect when nature offers what it did on that day?
Hi John

You did ask for feedback on your image and I gave you my honest feedback, whilst making it clear my intention was not to be negative. To post a retort like you have above is unnecessary and you shouldn't ask for feedback if you are not prepared to accept what people write

I think I also made it clear via the words used that the feedback was a comment on whether the picture works or not, which to me it doesn't. There was no comment from me about the weather conditions at the time, which clearly were not conducive to taking shots of the Grand Canyon, but that is a little irrelevant as you have chosen to post an image of the canyon in those conditions, so therefore you must accept whatever comment is made based on the shot you have posted!

You have clearly taken my comments badly, which was not the intent, but I do stand by what I have said and this is echoed by some of the other comments posted by others.

David

The original is too small for us to be able to see it properly. I think it needs another focal point, e.g. a bright fruit like a strawberry or cherry in between the glasses?

It doesn't look sharp, but it's hard to tell from such a small image.

Yes, I like it too, it's a very imaginative and skilfully taken image.

Another weekend bump - I'm quite surprised that I haven't had a single enquiry about any of these beautiful lenses. They will sell on ebay if no-one is interested.

I have no wish to appear negative, but I really do think this one has not worked out. To me, the essence of the Grand Canyon is the massive depth and perspective it offers and none of this is evident in this image; it could have been shot anywhere. It's certainly different, but just doesn't work for me. I'm really sorry to give this feedback, but I always try to be honest.

Just two words can sum up an answer to your question: 'Massive difference'.
