All excellent shots and processed in a way that perfectly suits the subjects.

We are fortunate to live in the UK, it is such a beautiful place (apologies to those who are not UK residents). In my case, I'm also very fortunate to have a garden that's bursting with wildlife; birds, insects, mammals, reptiles and plants! Today my wife noticed that Wrens are nesting in one of our nest boxes, so I decided to spend the afternoon trying to get the best possible shots of these fantastic little birds. I hope you like them.

The first three are with the K-5 and DA L 55-300, the remainder are with the K-5iis and Sigma 150-500.

A magnificent achievement and one which we should all admire.

Have you handled both cameras? The K-5 feels like a professional tool, it's got a magnesium alloy body whereas the K30 is plastic (good quality plastic mind you).

You can buy a brand new K-5 Mk1 for about the same price as a K30, give or take a few pounds. If it were me I would buy the K-5.

I'm not sure that this image needed a 10 stopper Stan as there's nothing in it that is enhanced by the use of the filter. I would be more interested to see one without the filter as I know the 16-45 is capable of sharper images than this one and I think the filter is affecting this, or maybe it's something to do with the processing and the fact that you've had to remove a colour cast.

It's leaning a bit to the right too; sorry if this sounds a little harsh but I don't think this is one of your best shots.

I agree fully with Alan. It's extremely difficult to shoot landscapes with the correct balance between sky and land, unless ND Grads are employed. Anyone who thinks otherwise has not spent much time seriously attempting to shoot landscapes IMO.

There are occasions where it is not necessary, but ND Grads are an essential tool in the box.

Tremendous shots Alan. It would be churlish to pick a favourite as they are all so good.

The first one and the horse image are the ones for me Shaun, I think the first one needs the levels bringing up to make the foliage whiter and then it would shine.

All great shots though.

Hi Will

I had one on sale on here a few weeks ago for £75 in virtually mint condition but there were no offers! I then tried it reversed as a macro lens and found it superb for this, so withdrew it from sale.

I'm in two minds about whether or not to sell it, I might be convinced, but it would have to be more than £60.
