Focusing is electronic and in the lens and the in lens OS is also operated electrically and works very well giving the advantage of you seeing a steady image through the viewfinder or the back screen. As the shutter button is half depressed the lens OS takes effect very quickly. I have tried turning the lens OS off and using the camera OS and the final images are equally as sharp. I prefered the in lens OS just because it makes viewing the image easier when focusing on a subject.

Not sure I would want to be on it in a heavy sea.

A cracking set, for me its number 4 that tops the list. A well proportioned landscape that draws your eye along the river into the distant but key feature, the bridge.

I bought an Epson Perfection V370 scanner for scanning scores of old slides I had. When used with the Epson software it can scan several negatives and several mounted slides as well as several photos at once. Loads of options in the software to change from negative to positive film as well as in scanner photo editing. I dont know if Epson have a patch to make it work in Windows 11 but as long as I installed an Epson software patch it worked fine on Windows 10.

Don't dismiss the Kit Lenses, for the money they are excellent lenses. Until a year or two ago almost all my landscape work was done with the Pentax 18-55 kit lens. Looking back at the photos I took they were amazing. I now use a Pentax 18-135DA for my walk about landscape photography but only because it gives me that extra zoom in case I spot some distant wildlife. To be honest the images dont appear any better than what the kit lens produced. This was with the 18-55 kit lens on my first Pentax a K7 link

There are so many ADs on eBay that are clearly making hugely false claims its obvious they just dont care. Maybe if we all reported it.
