What I do not understand is this; when in the past I have shot in rain water drops on the front element have made the images un-usable. Do the WR lenses have wipers?

Not at all, early adopters always seem to have problems, and of course invariably pay more for the dubious honour of having the latest kit.

What I am trying to demonstrate with above is a simple rule;
Fill the frame.

You certainly are brave Utopia, for me the issues from your first set are still not resolved with this set, forget composition, and processing, at the end of the day the flowers are not perfect. The first image has a petal missing, about 2 o clock, the second colour image has a bent petal at about 10 o clock, do not wish to sound harsh, but you can do all the processing you like, but if the start subject is not perfect, it just does not shine. If you have any ambition to make money with flower shots you must make sure the flowers are perfect, after that play with processing.

I probably won't use half of what is on offer with the K-5 but it has my name written all over it.
And just think of the happy times ahead learning about the bits you do`nt understand now.
Hope you enjoy it.

For some reason my last post got cut off, anyway why not to use a wide angle lens with a polariser;
Theory is because polariser effects vary with the angle to the sun, if you use a wide angle lens the effects will vary across the field of view. Leading to banding across the image.
Hope this makes sense.
