The last one could be sharper, but it was taken through glass.
C&C welcome, particularly on composition.

what could I expect for an "as new" version - any ideas?
On ebay £250-£300 possibly more with a really good listing.
Here, £250 ish, probably not £300 but then no fees.

Or worse yet, a goatse link (warning for the faint of heart, do NOT google it unless you are prepared to be quite possibly scarred for life)
Well of course I had to. Am now going for a stiff drink, a few headache tablets, and perhaps some psychiatric care. Hopefully the nightmares wont last too long.

the longer the fl the further you can be away from your subject and still get 1:1 images. Also because you are further away you are not casting a shadow on the subject, and it`s easier to use flash. As for the most versatile I will leave that to others more worthy than I.

You are correct, apologies, it`s my beer beffudled brain
The 12-24 is a good lens, but cannot compare it to yours, have never used it. If you venture near chester give me a nod and well do a head to head.

Have you got your 17 and 20mm uncropped shots mixed up :
Was the darker 12mm due to white balance:
In any case it does show the quality of the lens, 10mm does seem a tad soft, but quite acceptable. An interesting test. Now, if you send it to me I will comparwe it against my samsung 12-24 :
