I really like the way this shot illustrates the animals camouflage.

Am going to start working through them all methodical next week, to many jobs to do this weekend

Beg to differ John,
Rocket blowers just move the problem, usually top somewhere less accessible.
Arctic Butterfly every time, for any detritus.

the 4 lenses you have chosen for me anyway cover all angles so no need buying another lens
Since when has that been a reason not to buy a lens

You seem quite happy with yours Mike?
The shots you posted a while back from your recent trip certainly looked OK. Am considering getting this when I return from holiday in 3 weeks time, tend not to believe lens reviews myself, usually they bare no resemblance to real world results..

At 800 mm you need to use a tripod, or have a high shutter speed.
Do not push the ISO over 400 unless there is plenty of light.
Sharpest images on most lenses tend to be a couple of stops smaller than maximum aperture.
Why don`t you post an example pic with the exif info.

IMHO, go for a macro lens, tubes and reversing rings are all very well in theory, if you want close ups of circuit boards,
Using above you will need lots of light + patience getting the focus spot on.

but am guessing you will want insects, butterflies etc?
Get a macro lens.
For these sort of subjects you need at least aperture control, and preferably auto focus to get close, then use quickshift to fine tune.
Once you have your macro lens you can then add the other bits if you need magnification.

Good set Mike.
And a great illustration of the 18-135 capabilities.
