Interested on your thoughts about the ISO Simon, it is the main reason why my debit card is twitching, but only 2 stops better than the K20?
Would love to see some comparison shots sometime.
Hope you enjoy it.

Am starting to think I have (need :wink to get a K5, problem is too many other demands on my hard earned.
So, time to sell some glass, lets see;

F1.7x teleconverter, immaculate £275
DFA 100mm macro immaculate £250
DA 55-300 VGC £200
Sigma 400mm af f5.6 non apo fair condition £200

This is not an offer to sell at this stage, just wondering if the prices are realistic?

What size is the polariser, and is it circular or linear?

Edit,
Only just noticed size in the title

Interesting thoughts chaps, I have a AA print of half dome on my bedroom wall, it is superb. I also have a colour JPEG which I took several years ago from roughly the same position, have tried many times but never managed to get my B&W conversion to even come close to the AA print.
Of course perhaps I am just being presumtous even thinking that I could approach the masters work

There are several members here who regularly produce excellent B&W images. And occasionally one sees a posted image converted to B&W with great effect.
I have some B&W prints on my walls, mainly from AA, and I do appreciate them, but for the life of me when it comes to my own images I can neither "see" a good B&W photo, or convincingly convert a colour one into B&W
Question is can one learn to see in B&W?
What do you think?

In this particular case Mark i think the answer is no, the dark side has enough detail in it to allow the viewer to fill in the gaps. In my tree photo I find it distracting. In Smeggys shots I think the 1st one is distractingly blown, the 2nd is not, it adds to the atmosphere. So perhaps what I am saying is it all depends on the individual image.

Much better Smeggy, for some reason I only seem to be able to "see" in colour.

Cheers guys,
Have tried B&W, but for some reason I just don't seem to get it, think this one is probably a lost cause, cannot get rid of the blow out even with adding in the original darkest frame.
Never mind, as the saying goes, there are plenty more trees in the woods;

C&C welcome,
Put the tree in the middle as it is sort of the point of the image.
Not sure about the bright spot where the sun was rising.

This was taken with a Sigma 400 f5.6 non apo from about10 metres away;

They can be picked up on ebay for around £200 for a good one.
Might be worth a try, but the minimun focus might be a bit long, cannot remember what it is off hand but I think around 1.6 Metres seems to come to mind.
If it does not work for you can probably sell it on without a loss,
