Agreed Stefan, think the thing is Phill you may have to pay over the £250, but at least once you`ve got it a good one should last you a few years before you yearn for the K7, or whatever comes next.

Davex was it test by a form of vibration or really in hand?
In hand, they do seem to have done it fairly, if you PM me your address I`ll post it to you, you may find it interesting.

Why bother : just PM Mike-P, he buys just about every lens sold on this forum, despite his note to self.

The K7 lens used was Sigma 50-200, with Sigma OS on it performed much better than with the Sigma OS off and the K7 SR on. There is so much data that you need to see it on the page, but basically the article demonstrates that lens OS produces more "acceptable" shots than in camera SR. It does not however talk about cost weight implications.

A feature in this weeks AP (23 Jan) suggest lens based systems perform better than K7 SR.

He means the lens doesn't have an aperture ring, so can only be controlled from the body. Hence the need for extension tubes with contacts.

Hmmm, think I`ve had a bit too much wine to pick that that up Dan, However with a teleconvertor smaller apertures are useless (impractical) anyway,it`s not that big a deal, twas it me i would get this , play with it and decide what to do next,

still access live view with one button push
It has to be said, live view on K20 is pretty useless, in 1 year and 2000+ shots i think i`ve used it maybe a dozen times. My only problem with the K7 is that it seems so small in my mitts. Now perhaps if i could wrap my K20 body around the K7 i might be interested.

On my K20 i flick the power switch over to get live view, admittedly it`s rubbish, but I just don't see how a separate button is an improvement. Much rather have a WB button.
