Given the performance of the K3 II and the big HD zoom I am not expecting the FF to do too much for me as a predominantly Wildlife and sports photographer.
I bought the K3 II when the delay was first announced, which was not in my plan, having went out to buy big zoom ahead of the "then published release date" of Autumn 2015, because of a very low purchase price opportunity.
Trying the big lens on a K3 II at the shop and comparing this set up with the lens mounted on my own K3 , which I had taken along, I was more than sufficiently impressed to buy the big zoom with the K3 II too.
I have not moaned about BIF since as I have done often over recent years, , and am daily more impressed because, as I mentioned in another post, it knocks the stuffing out of the Nikon D810 FF I comprehensively feild tested recently, combined with an assortment of Sigma, Nikon and Tamron superzoo ( also along with some Canon gear),
NB. That trial was driven by misplaced frustration with Pentax when I learned they were about to formally announce a delay in the FF launch and a somewhat over enthusiastic desire to get an FF and big Superzoom: glad I went through that trialprocess now as it demonstrated the need to field test the opposition before assuming the published HYPE is beleivable and the "grass is greener".
I recently posted the link again to the article "is the K3 II the new superhero" that says it all
However I am sure the FF low light performance and extra cropability will be an advantage but really, the K3 II seems to be pretty much as good as it gets for my needs, given the printed enlargments sizes I make and the up to 100% cropabilty.
I did remove the K3 II from the 150 - 450 to inquisitively see how it performed on the Sigma 35mm ART DG (FF) - result wow!
I don't normally get too overwhealmed by upgrades and frankly wondered why Pentax brought out a K3 variant with what seemed like two add-on gimmicks I didn't need and two marginal improvements to AF and SR.
Well I was wrong and the combination of those imprivement to K3 IIs AF and SR, complimented by the focussing and optical performance of the DC motored HD150-450 is definately a game changer for my needs.
I am of the firm opinion the combination of these improvements are very understated.
However the FF is bound to be a big bonus to wedding and studio Pros but I won't race out and get one as I originally intended.

I am sometimes frustrated at the Pentax focus speed issue and the lack of specific lenses that 3rd parties offer to CaNikon, but then I try them out and more often than not get a little dissapointed at the optical performance and build quality compared to Pentax lenses.
It the same with bodies, Pentax cameras are extremely well engineered and I won't add the caveat "for the money" , they are well engineered by any standard.
I have also consider that the ergonomics and size of the Pentax Products are is a key point and the robustness of the Canon and Nikon prograde "muscle cameras" is more about style than functionality.
They are robust and well made for sure (Canon more than Nikon) but having recently suffered a horrendous " first time in my life moment" where I dropped a K 3 on to a flat stone grave, from waiste level, with a big lens attached, I was completely astounded to find it had no effect on operation of either the lens or the camera, which took quite an impact.
Despite the odd whinge from me I am very happy with Pentax and can't wait to try an FF which will have to be very good to leave the K3s behind APS OR NOT .
The point about after sales support and marketing has been well discussed on PU over time but still remains as the only is the only significant criticism that is justifiable from my point of view, and I think it is the only thing preventing the rise of Pentax back to it's former prestigious position, which is a commercial necessity in terms of development, innovation and evolving the technology going forward.
However, even that doesn't bother me that much because I feel quite good as the underdog on occasions, when winning a place in a competition at the camera club or working alongside pros at a sporting event, when someone says to me ; "you didn't take that with a Pentax did you"
Sometimes I have been known to reply, yes I did actually and I can see you took that with a Canon.

Have used the Sigma 300mm f2.8 since day one of it's release. Over that period of time and literally thousands of photographs I've never had one single issue with it. Also works well with the Pentax aw teleconverter.
Although if you are looking into getting one brand new... Might want to consider waiting. Sigma is most likely coming out with a 300mm f2.0 and also two more of their AW lenses. Not sure if ANY of those will be released in PK - much like the current Sigma aw zoom that never made it to PK, that places the Pentax 150-400 to shame
I have owned and used the Sigma lens you referred to and for sure it is a nice lens but let the pictures do the talking when it comes to lenses and so far I am literally gobsmacked with the HD150-450 which is of an order of quality and picture taking capability I have not seen before in a lens under £4000 and that is on the K3 II APS sensor.
Optically it is as good as a prime in most cases and if you think that any other lens can put the Pentax DA*200/300 optics to shame think on and this new big zoom is optically up there with those wonderful lenses - and with a DC Motor.
Someone posted a comparison test with the much understated K3 II (APS) vs the Nikon D810 (FF) on PU a while back where, after a full technical appraisal the reviewer underlined reoeatedly that the New K3 II produced images of the same quality as the D810 FF.
So 50mpCMOS take the HD 150 out on a K3 II body and maybe the results will indicate why you have had a somewaht hostile response to your ridiculous comment.
