First one, just converted a RAW file to jpg, no processing.

Second one, white balance, saturation, a little sharpening etc etc, then a slight tweak!

I've only tried uploading 3 photos to see what would happen. And then I had waited long enough for all the teething problems to have been ironed out.

Coming from a software testing environment, it's obvious to me that this should never have been released. It's also obvious that there has not been a dedicated testing team. Developers should never be allowed to say a system is working as they have a vested interest in getting it released......they can move onto something else!

Whoever accepted this syetm as working adequately wants hanging!

Probably because the replacement is normally announced first.
Ah, yes, but they haven't actually announced that the K-r is being discontinued yet, have they?

Perhaps we can start a rumour about a new model and then all will be ok.

Thanks, japers!

Number 5 is my favourite.

I'd have tried to make more of the rocks or whatever it is at the end of the wall somehow, but I wasn't there so don't know what you had to contend with. I'd have also tried the same shot with a bit more going on in the sky, for my taste there is a little too much blue - maybe try in B&W?
I have already done another version of #5 with stronger colours and a bit of work on the wall. I'm going to try different versions of most of them and a lot of others I've not put here. I'll show them a bit later and see if there is any improvement!

Actually, Charlotte, that has been very useful for me.

Mostly, you've backed up some of my thinking, but you have helped me in a couple of other respects too.

You're not so bad at this sort of thing!

I like No. 3 and No. 10 - but I'm no where near experienced enough to give you a proper critique I'm afraid.

I've never seen so many shells on a beach before.
Thanks for that, Charlotte. Really, nobody needs to be qualified to give a critique. it's only a personal opinion after all! But if you don't feel comfortable then don't worry.

There are shells everywhere, but the big pile in #2 is actually at a jetty where the boats come up to be cleaned off at the harbour itself.

Thank you, Clare!

Oh, and thank you, Stuey. I just saw your response.

I do believe you are right, some of the horizons are not quite level. I checked nos 1 and 2 and they were about 0.2 of a degree out, so you have a good inbuilt spirit level!

I appreciate you taking the time.

Thanks, Dave.

It really would be nice if someone could help me by doing a critique on this set of photos. I'd like to be able to improve on these types of shot but do need some experienced eyes to point out where I can improve.

Please?
