I bought a K-x and then a K-r (after I broke the K-x). Basically, I shot RAW from day 1. Then, on a couple of occasions, I needed to shoot jpg. I was sort of struck with how I had less cope for editing. Whether this resulted in striking differences in the final result I don't really know, but I prefer to shoot RAW.

No doubt, on this subject, others will tell you different!

Are you able to get the lens to focus manually?

David is right. The problem you seem to have had was exactly the same for me. I was given a UV filter when I bought the 55-300 and it would not focus. I took off the filter and the lens worked perfectly.

Sorry to hear about your disaster.

Funny that, 'cause I never really got on with my 17-70. Once I got the K28 I found I never used the 17-70 at all.

I'd be interested in a few months, but I currently have - 45 euros in the camera fund.

Hi Vic,

OK, if you have got to the Pentax Gallery Artists Logon Page here

link

and entered your email address and password, then you will get to the Artist Dashboard. Near the top you will see 4 icons, the 2nd of which is Upload. Click on that and you'll get another page. Scroll down and you'll see Upload A File. Click on that and it will ask you to select the photo you want to upload. Make sure it's 900 px high. While it's doing it's thing you can enter the title etc on the right hand side. After a short while it will fill in some of the EXIF data and you can manually update that if you want to. Once you are happy with the data just click on Upload Your Photo at the bottom.

See how that goes.

Cheers,

ds

I must try with SR off. Only done that on a tripod with delay, but my tripod isn't up to it. Mmmm, food for thought........

Great shots, by the way.
