RussV, which Zoostorm did you get?
I want to buy a couple of cheap machines for children and office work and saw them; they looked good, but it looked like you had to go up to £199 (eBuyer) to get two monitor outlets.
Can I use the HDMI outlet with an adapter for the second monitor?

Ah, I've just googled it and it is a lot longer than your (cracking) shot implies. I guess the long lens has foreshortened it.
Apparently it is very aerodynamic, but I suspect that is down to the lack of wings front and rear, rather than the arrow shape which actually gives less time for the air to settle down after it has had to breech what is essentially the same frontal area as a conventional shape...

Thanks Simon, I'm struggling to see the point in it, as it must be hopeless aerodynamically and hit twice as many bumps

I went to LCE in Plymouth looking for a Canon 400D but he said try this, and gave me a K10D. The Pentax was leagues ahead in specification and build quality and when I discovered it would take my old lenses, that was that.
I ordered the 16-45 and fishy to go with it and have never looked back.
The K5IIs and limiteds or DA* lenses leaves me with absolutely no excuses; the limitation now is definitely me.

Ah! that was a timely post as I have dropped my 17-70 and it now rattles and won't zoom. Have just left them a message

Multiple bodies is a great way to always be prepared. My go-to kit is two K5s with 35 and 77 Ltds on. So convenient!
I have a 3rd K5 which is a bit of a luxury, so I could be persuaded to part with it

Nice set
They appear a little contrasty and saturated; is that a deliberate attempt to make them look like Canon shots?

Brand loyalty also exists in the factory and design departments. They may loose focus or start to care less about their product.
It may also work the other way of course
Taping up the name on your gear Gary? seems a bit extreme and almost like you're ashamed of it. Or is it just that you're fed up with the questions?

Don, It's a Dung Beetle or Dor Beetle - Geotrupes stercorarius
Eats its own weight in dung every day!

Incidentally, I was shooting fungi with an off-camera strobe shot through an umbrella on a stand. I knew I was going to be in a dark wood and I wanted a nice even light somewhat behind the fungi to simulate the lovely winter light that catches the edge of mushrooms
I moved it round to a more normal position for the beetle.
Didn't have much success with the mushrooms
