Jonathan, you're more than welcome, but It will still be a bit damp in there in June
Marcel, I got roped into doing Homes Under the Hammer a few years back; never again. They promised to be sensitive and and unobtrusive and put out links to our businesses on their show and website, but nothing; they reneged on everything and edited the show to make it look like I was certain I'd get planning etc. scum bags. I did get planning, despite their efforts to derail the process. And that fake-tanned pillock, always demanding the best light on his face and sticking us in the glaring sun. Then doing a bunch of 'looks to camera' for use in the edit, nasty piece of work
I'm sure Kevin's lot will be better, but no thanks

That's it Smeggy. What's Echelon and how did you narrow it down to the reservoir?
Yes, it's a beautiful place. Being a Cornish boy from West Penwith, I didn't really get over to the Lizard much (no need). So it's all new to me
Apart from the airfield - that's where I took my first glider flight.

I think this makes you England's most southerly Pentax photographer.
Yes! fame at last!

Situated between two airfields I believe, Culdrose and Predennack. Is it partly sunk into the ground or is it all above ground
Yes, that's the one, I love hairyplanes, and gliding, so that's a nice bonus.
It's half in, and half above ground, so fairly simple to cut a hole in the side and start the conversion with a garage door, so I can hide my old Landie and kayaks.

a massive darkroom, an enormous camera obscura, candle lit swimming pool, underground gallery
Camera obscura - yes! man, that would be amazing. Pin hole in the south wall and just go wild with some paint and lots of paper
Brilliant...

Not sure Barry. I'm stuck in Plymouth for a while, so there's no rush.
I think if we prove we can exist up there and contribute to the community - bringing in tourists (sensitively) and running little programs for school children, I think we can get it converted to residential. I'm in no rush to go upwards anyway, apart from maybe a discrete structure for taking in the view... and photographing the weather coming in over Mount's Bay
There's half an acre of ponds and hawthorn/gorse/scrub-land with loads of creatures to watch and er... photograph so lots of opportunity to diversify sensitively.
I feel a few little turf pods coming on, each with its own little bit of nature around it

Gallery is a great idea
Anyway, thing is you're all invited
We've got a caravan hidden away up there. But we're making space for tents.
If anyone needs a Doom-like structure in various stages of wetness! Give me a shout

I'm so exited to let you in on my new plans.
I've bought a massive water tank on top of the hill at Mullion in Cornwall.
It's currently half full of water, which in itself is exiting and an amazing photo opportunity.
But I'll be drying it out and creating a huge studio/man cave. It's tennis court-size and 9 foot deep, with half walls and pillars creating a labyrinth with large voids.
Meanwhile on top, there are 360 views of the Lizard and Mounts bay.
It is situated on heathland designated AONB. So I will be documenting the flora and fauna over the seasons.
I hope to run photo tours and residential workshops ('Glamping' initially)

Cracking stuff guys.
I was away camping, and had the tiniest inkling through intermittent data signal, that it was all kicking off over here
So, without actually being able to see what you'd done, I hastily grabbed the 300 and 12-24, tied the aperture open on the 12-24 and pointed it at a penny on my car bonnet
My battery was running out so I had to go old-skool and use the view finder!
Sunlight was too strong and made the penny sparkle again...
is it ever right?

Doug, this is 50 percent about skinflint per pixel
Luckily, extreme macro usually utilises obsolete glass and tubes costing next to nothing

Ha ha, Can't wait
3 individual pixels on my screen seems to be about 3/4 mm. That would be about the same as your first winning attempt... You'll have to do better than that

I've found the Yongnuo triggers and receivers to be absolutely fine and reliable. I use them a lot with all sorts of gear. Much more reliable camera remote than any dedicated remotes I've used too
The new Yongnuo flashes have the receivers built in and they too are exceptionally useful, reliable and well made. I prefer them to the Metz 58s. I'm in manual anyway and I simply can't fault them.
