Yongnuo flash triggers for K5

I'm wanting to experiment more with off camera flash and a lot of people seem to rate the Yongnuo flash triggers. I have a K5, an old Pentax AF200S flashgun and also a modern Metz AF44-1 flashgun. I really just want to get the guns to fire when off the camera and note the Yongnuo RF-603 MK2 comes in both Canon and Nikon variants. I plan to buy from Amazon for UK stock but can someone tell me whether I need to buy the Canon or Nikon variant as people seem to be saying different things on different forums!! After mastering compact flash I plan to investigate proper iLux studio strobes but I know the starter kits come with their own triggers.

I had the Yongnuo RF-603 triggers (the canon variant) and while they were adequate they soon showed signs of the their "bargain basement" status. One of the pins in the sync port that connected to sync cable I needed for my studio flashes broke off quite quickly and they would only work reliably up to 1/160 sync speed. To get them working at 1/180 max sync speed of the K5 you had to half depress the button on the top etc.

I ended replacing them with these :

They only cost £16 more but are way way better, very good build quality, better range, work flawlessly at all sync speeds come with a all the cables and plugs you might need and a nice little case too. Head and shoulders above the Yongnuo IMHO!

I've found the Yongnuo triggers and receivers to be absolutely fine and reliable. I use them a lot with all sorts of gear. Much more reliable camera remote than any dedicated remotes I've used too
The new Yongnuo flashes have the receivers built in and they too are exceptionally useful, reliable and well made. I prefer them to the Metz 58s. I'm in manual anyway and I simply can't fault them.

Hi chaps and thanks for all the replies! in the end I have purchased the Cotswold Photo triggers in Nikon mount which are supposed to be well reviewed. They're seemingly a bit cheaper than some of the other options out there but I'm happy to report back on how well they work if that's helpful.
