Because before my tea was cold (or drunk) I had the answer.
I wouldn't really hose the ol' gear down of course, but it's useful to know what it can really tolerate. I reckon I could get away with a fairly major dunking in the sea and carefully washing it.
At the moment my camera and lens looks a bit like a kellogs frosty.
I'm thinking along the lines of J (shhh), that if it all goes tits up I'll have to by a nice set of DA* lenses.
Don't worry, I never sell anything (you're safe!)... crash and burn that's my motto.

I just got thinking because this sort of thing, although fun, is not particularly clever with a 16-45.

So I could just hose the whole lot down along with the wet suites?

I could search for the answer but I want to make a cup of tea

Personally I like number two on technical grounds because I know what went into it but I think the composition could be better.
And I am gutted that number 4 is such low quality/low resolution, because that could have been a nice print. Good idea to crop it higher Martin, seems obvious now!
Despite being a designer and having a camera since 1980 I still have zero confidence in my own stuff... I think that in my business if it's flawed it's not good enough... so I just see flaws. I'm going to enrol in a Photography course at my local Art college and see if that helps me chill out.
One of my first shots with the K10D 30, second exposure.

2 long exposures and one flash combined the old fashioned way.

straight forward long exposure.

This next one was heavily cropped (quickly grabbed with a wide angle) so not much use for printing.

More useful, uncropped image a few minutes later (correct lens) but less impact maybe.

I use my two SMC M 1.7 50mm lenses all the time (one permanently attached to extension tubes). looks like it's time to invest in a more modern variant.

Great shots, by the way.

Do you use a CRT monitor? your images often look a little overworked on my monitor. (CRTs can be a bit soft)
