Facebook like the rest of the web is a mine of useless and useful information you can choose to a large extent what you get and control what others "see" of your info, why knock it if you havent tried it. It can be a great way to communicate and keep in touch with your REAL friends

I think Chris is infering that contrast detect A/F is not so good for tracking moving objects, and He would be correct

real world experience? Ok since i have both such cameras i will try and shoot identical scenes for you this week and email you the results unprocessed so you can compare. Please Pm me your email address.

BTW I have a m4/3 because of pocketability I dont need a 200mm lens for it! nonsense imho

Well anyone who actually owns a particular m4/3 will know that they definately fit in your pocket! And thats probably why said owners are willing to sacrifice a SMALL amount of iq at base iso. I doubt if you could tell them apart at iso 200. I own both a K-r and a m 4/3 with prime and kit lens and love and use both equally.

Thank you Neil I had lots to choose from as I went out for several shoots as Im really getting interested in the buildings round here at the moment. I entered this one beacause it was so different from the others.

Looking forward to the next challenge

You dont lways have to point your camera directly at the building to convey what it "means" to you. Hope thats allowed in this theme!Comment Image[img]http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7266/7103420501_eab95e41cb_b.jpg" class="comment_image" />

Hi and Welcome hope you have a lot of fun with it and get some good shots of your grandchildren

Trust the camera and try some with the flash off Ive got aa K-r and it rarely lets me down exposure-wise ive shot up to ISO 3200 for small prints and it turned out ok, although ideally i'd have been able to lower it. The K-5 is supposed to be even better At higher ISO's

Needed to use a wet cleaning kit twice now and have owned my K-r a year and a bit. I change lenses quite a lot outside but am careful when doing so, it doesn't seem that unusual to have to clean the sensor once in a while.

I got my cleaning kit from amazon pretty cheap but does the job fine
