Damn, I've been rumbled!

I even set up all these shots to keep up the pretense...

Nice!

I went to Gigrin Farm a few years back, but not digital at the time. Must go back. I'm guessing this one was more local to you - just off the M40?

Had another go at the flying Hoverfly shot the other day, but haven't got round to processing it yet. Not as good as this one from last year though...

Simply wouldn't have even tried it on film because I wouldn't have had a clue if I was remotely close to getting it right. I love digital!

Isn't digital fun?!?

If you want Capture One LE, then buy a Compact Flash card Sandisk Extreme III for about £19...
Do the SD cards not have C1LE too?

Just read that back, and thought it sounded like a dig at you - it wasn't, I just know that you're a competent photographer, and didn't really need me to say what I'd just said.

Not sure I'm not making it sound worse now though.

I think the crucial word was 'injudiciously' - use that cheap old filter shooting with the sun shining on the filter, and although resolution may be the same, the contrast almost certainly won't.

As well you know!

Also, you can fire the shutter with no card in the camera, which will increase the shutter count without increasing the file number, but you're probably not going to do that too often.

If yours was new and boxed, I don't suppose it's had many shutter activations, but I'd guess they'd try at least one as a test before packing it up at the factory?

Lilly, like the portrait, but yes, shame about the highlights.

I do like the reflection in the glasses though - an umbrella? Almost a photo within a photo, an added dimension.

Like George the Severn Bridge pic is nice and punchy, has a monolithic style, could be mistaken as an outake from an 70's SF movie.

I'm guessing you meant "Like George said...".

But I like it just the way you wrote it!
