Some great pics, but putting them in a video format was highly annoying. I like to choose how long I look at an image and pausing ans FFwarding was a PITA
They're also on the IGPOTY website: http://www.igpoty.com/competition07/winners.asp?parent=winners

Hi Daniel, thanks for the link. I spoke with Chris today and came home poorer in the pocket but richer in the kit bag
I'm sure you won't be at all disappointed Cedric, I really was sorry to have to send it back. I'll be getting one myself in the not-too-distant future, Chris has got some great offers on at the moment.

LOL I thought I recognised the name, guess we should take that 95% score with a pinch of salt then
Not at all, bearing in mind the 70D got 94% the month before I think, and I handled one just after doing this review, I think it's fair. But as Andy says, it's rare for a review to come up significantly below this anyway. Ratings are very hard to do.

Are these offers still active? https://www.pentaxuser.com/forum/topic/current-srs-offers--47457

Maybe Chris can advise.

How odd. I'll have to try it sometime with my Tamron, never noticed it happening, but then again haven't used the thing for some time.

I would recommend using minus EV compensation of at least half a stop when using a 1.4x converter (and more when using a 2x). This is because 99.9% of teleconverters are non reporting on Pentax and so the camera is still metering as if it wasn't there.
But why does the camera need to know it's there? It's just measuring the physical amount of light reaching it's lightmeter, which is going to be less when the convertor's in use. You don't have to apply -10EV of compensation if you're using a Big Stopper...

I'd match it up with a good teleconverter!
It came with a matched 1.4x convertor, just incase 1200mm wasn't long enough...

Thanks Steve. I'm reluctant to post any of the photos to be honest, because the light was so poor in there we were using ISO 3200 and still only getting 1/8s, and with that wobbly tripod nothing was that sharp. Well supported I reckon it should be nice, just tricky to use.
