As an act of shameless self-promotion, I'm pleased to say I've got a half-page feature in the Sunday Telegraph today, you can read it on my blog.

I tried to get a mention for Pentax, but the best I could do was have SRS as a recommended supplier.

Cheers,
Dan

A few of those are, to me, over processed, especially the seascape with the purple sky - note the reflection of the sky is not purple...

Whenever anyone asks about the DA*300mm, I tend to link to this post. Note the large photos of the birds are '100%' crops, i.e. enlarged to 100% in photoshop then cropped to fit the screen.

I absolutely love this lens, but if it's purely for shooting birds, I think you'll find the zoom to be better, purely from a flexibility point of view.

NeilP who posts on here has the 150-500 and a large selection of photos on his blog. Seems to do the trick for him!

I too haven't been on here as much recently, but I have been taking a few photos.

Outdoors though, I did struggle this winter, in the time I had available. Now Spring is definitely here, I'm finding inspiration in lots of places, when I get the chance to go out.

Having handled a silver 'limited edition' K-5 today, I can confirm it feels chunkier than a normal one, and filled my hand even better. If these grips can be retrofitted to black K-5s then that could be a solution to those that feel the original is too small.

The switch around between the Green and exposure compensation buttons placement is the one that still has me confused every now and again, but I do find the K-5 very comfortable, but best with the grip. Felt odd during the early days, but lovely now.

I had noticed there wasn't anything in there when I popped in last, and now nothing on the website.

LCE are a pro-dealer though, so you'll get the better warranty with them anyway, and Dave's very nice.

The first might benefit from a lift in brightness. A smaller aperture may have got you more detail further out, with a greater depth of field?
I like the low-key look of it, and the shallow depth of field gives the shot more depth - just my kind of woodland photo.
