This film is great, it's recycled - made from old wetsuits.

It certainly is, I would suggest PM'ing him!

Ahhh, a Chinon CE5...

A few nice bits on there, hope they go for a good price. Wasn't someone on here looking for an MZ-5n recently?

The SMC-DA 16-45 (which has a 67mm filter) is perfectly fine with Cokin P filters
Well, it is (in my experience) as long as when you're at 16mm you don't have the holder at an angle, otherwise it does vignette slightly in opposite corners.

As long the holder is vertical or horizontal (I mean the slots that hold the filters are parallel with the edges of the sensor), it's fine.

That's what I've found, anyway.

Can't help thinking that someone's going to get the wrong end of the stick with what I've just written, but hey-ho.

I think the MR20 is just Manual or Auto, so not even TTL. Don't let that put you off trying it though. Am I right in thinking it only fires via a cable plugged into a PC socket on the camera? If so, you'll either need a K20D or *istD (the only models with this feature), or an adaptor for the hotshoe.

I've just checked this site and the trigger voltage would appear to be fine, so no worries there.

I use manual flash all the time with my macro work, albeit on the hotshoe with a diffuser, but with a little trial and error I don't see why you couldn't get good results with the MR20. At least until you can save up for a 'flashier' model.

Just curious about the lens, if it needs the AD2 mount, then it can't be an autofocus lens. Tamron were clever with their mounts, but not that clever! Your existing mount should work fine, but you may be better off getting a PK/A one if the one you have is a plain PK. You'll then be able to control the aperture from the camera body, and get more consistent metering.

The only reason I'm selling it is that I need a larger bag for my recently aquired kit!
What kit have you got then? I use this bag, and it happily houses my K10D + 16-45 lens, DA*300mm, Sigma 105mm, FA50mm, Extension tubes, 1.4x teleconverter, flash, and I've still got space in the main body to squeeze in another small lens.

This was a nice discussion about the 35mm Macro. Certainly tempting me too.

Okay Stefan, thanks for that - saves me checking, and proves it's not just me!
