I wonder if he knows that his victims could use the details he left on that site to track him to his home address?

I don't think the number of bolts is as important as their tensile strength, and that of the part they're screwed into. Remember that you can hang a load of over three tons on a single bolt perfectly safely (the bolt being thicker than your thumb, but still!)

I would be more concerned about flexing in the lens or mount causing unreliable performance with fewer screws, unless the mount was made from thicker, stronger material in order to prevent this.

Don't leap straight for the 35 Ltd unless you need the macro function. The DA 35/2.4 is a rather astonishing lens and costs an awful lot less than the Ltd.

I'm guessing that processing the plates for that involves an indoor swimming pool and a few mops to agitate the developer? Then find a handy crane to use as an enlarger...

Problem with the F 24-50mm is that if you do find one the price will be mad.

Don't buy the Pentax-F 35-80mm, it's terrible in my experience and judging by reviews mine is a typical sample. Weird, as the 35-70mm they made before is very nice as is the 80-200mm they made to go with the 35-80mm.

You've got a couple of options IMO:

Look for a Pentax 28-80mm auto focus zoom. There are plenty about and all are competent performers.

The new DA 35mm f2.4 is a full frame lens and would work on your MZ50, but may not be a wide enough angle for what you want to shoot.

Don't buy one of the 18-55mm lenses - they're designed for the smaller digital sensor and will vignette horribly on film.

If you don't already own a flashgun then look for an AF280T or an AF240Z, both are powerful and can be bounced to diffuse the light output, ideal for indoor shooting.

What gets me about sites like that:

There is so much evidence, yet the Police don't seem interested in investigating what (to me) seems like the proverbial low-hanging fruit. The scammer even left his own name, address, and email on the WHOIS lookup database which ties him in to numerous similar websites!

In general, infinity is supposed to cover everything from a couple of miles to the moon (depending on the lens - some wide angles reach the infinity mark much closer to the camera than a telephoto zoom, for example).

In the case of my SMC K 28/3.5, if I set it to infinity a car will be in focus when I'm standing far enough back to get all of it in the frame (about 4-5m is usually far enough), and so will the mountain 5Km away.

I tend toward the same opinion with the CZ name. As with cars, Japan has caught up. Nissan make vehicles capable of embarrassing anything from Stuttgart, and Pentax make lenses which easily match anything with a Zeiss badge on. I doubt there's anything on any camera system to match the original FA Ltds, for example.

I'm also trying to be polite while being constantly moaned at for my composition and my habit of not bothering with foreground interest by the same person. Generally I pick interesting subjects and fill the frame with them, making it somewhat unnecessary. Apparently the concept of different photographers having different styles hasn't quite got through yet...

I think mine came from "Mike's Photo" on ebay, simply as they were UK-based which would have made returning it easier if I'd had any trouble. They have the 85mm and 8mm at present.

The only weird part I've had is someone claiming (contrary to what I'm seeing) that it's soft. I don't really see that being able to read quarter millimetre high text shot from 2m away counts as "soft"! Apparently the Sony forum has decided that because it doesn't have "Zeiss" on it must be worthless, never mind the fact that everyone else loves the lens...
