yeah they have the same vat number,same company number,same address
but different email address.free shipping on orders above 100 euro's
that gives the game away!

What gets me about sites like that:
There is so much evidence, yet the Police don't seem interested in investigating what (to me) seems like the proverbial low-hanging fruit. The scammer even left his own name, address, and email on the WHOIS lookup database which ties him in to numerous similar websites!

For the record I purchased my Sigma 10-20mm from Martins Camera Shop and had good service from them. They don't normally stock Pentax but got it in for me at a good price compared to elsewhere at the time.
Never heard of Yorkshire Cameras before.

Apparently an International Calls Centre so unlikely a home address.
The Technical Contact shown appears to be in Vilnius, Lithuania. Isn't that where a lot of the eBay scams originate?

True, I suspect that if anyone does live there they spend most of their time dealing with rather serious-looking callers who happen to be carrying cricket bats and looking for various names along with their goods/money...
Eastern Europe does seem to be the source of a lot of scam artists, but I think it's more a case of their Police lacking the ability to deal with them (or not caring, as the victims aren't in their country) than anything else.
I would love to see BT put ethics before profits and start kicking people off their network for scamming/spamming. They could very easily stamp out nuisance callers ignoring the TPS, premium rate scams and similar but fail to do so. I can only surmise that so long as they get their money, they really don't care what crimes are committed by users.

The problem is that BT would be breaking the law by doing this without a court order. What we need is a system like Ireland - you cannot get an IE address without being a registered business. If we did the same it would give a great deal more assurance that if you deal with a .CO.UK that you are dealing with a real, uk-based business.

I wonder what their response is to a request to collect goods in person.

The prices looked too good to be true so I started digging and guess what?
The firm claim to be linked to a reputable firm in West Yorkshire but are not. Martins Camera Shop have this page on their site CLICKY LINK, the disclaimer is at the bottom in red.
A net search shows that Yorkshire Cameras is registered in Lithuania, as far as I can tell.
You have been warned.
