Judging by the Photographers Rights thread, he'd only be in slightly less trouble for exposing a camera than for exposing anything else!

I was lucky enough to bag the K version of that 55mm f1.8 for £8 a few months ago. A little dust inside but otherwise pretty much mint, and the dust doesn't seem to make any difference. A pro photographer friend of mine with a full frame Sony DSLR was amazed by the sharpness even wide open.

It's odd, I have an M 50mm f1.7 here attached to an ME Super. I bought the combination for the lens and as I'd always wanted an ME Super. I won't be selling either now, despite the fact that I dont use the lens on digital since buying the A version a few weeks ago. The M series lenses and cameras are just so enjoyable to hold and use.

On my wish list: M 200mm F4, any original K series lenses especially a 35mm. Need to wait until next month now...

The other thing to bear in mind: People running Firefox can block scripts very easily.

I must get into an LCE some time when I have money (as in, when I haven't just bought an MX ). There don't seem to be many real world shops with used equipment left now.

I fondly remember the bigger branches of Jessops with cases full of sensibly priced used kit

The Km isn't difficult to use with manual lenses. Just put it in manual mode, set aperture, then press the "+/-" button to have it stop down and take a reading. I tend to use mine in Av mode with these lenses, shooting wide open isn't much of a problem as I'm generally focussing around infinity for landscapes or distant subjects.

Obviously you need to set the menu option to allow the use of lenses with aperture not set to "A", and turn AF off.

I only post 640x480, which would be pretty useless to anyone wanting to rip them off for commercial purposes.

The other problem is people hotlinking to your images, thereby using up your bandwidth. One site I know has a slightly juvenile (but very amusing) response - they change the photo. If it's a mild rebuke the new one will be the owner holding a placard with "Don't steal photos from [Sitename]". Repeat offenders get something from his directory of horrible photos found on the web!

I don't mind if people want to use my photos, but I would not be happy if they turned up, say, on an ebay listing without permission or any arrangement for payment. If you're making money with my work, it's only fair that I should get a share of the takings.

Did you see whether they had any used equipment, and if so how were the prices?

I've always been a bit surprised that there aren't more Zeiss K mount lenses out there. They did, after all, work with Pentax in developing the mount.

Not me - I have bought a couple of fungally challenged M 50mm f2s recently mind.

Vinegar on a cotton bud seems to do a good job of killing the mould, and they're not hard to get into or, more importantly, reassemble. One has been a success, I'm waiting for the other to arrive from ebay.

Has anyone seen the A 28mm with the name scratched into the barrel, scratches on the front element and a strange distortion visible in the focussing grip? I was considering making an offer but bought an MX instead.

It doesn't mean limited edition - Pentax simply use the name for their top of the range lenses.
